Sam has held the Principal Trumpet Chair in the MSO for the past seven years. He regularly performs with a wide variety of chamber and orchestral ensembles in southern Ontario. Sam holds a Performance Degree in Trumpet from the University of Toronto where his principal teacher was Stephen Chenette. He also studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts with the Canadian Brass (Ronald Rom), and the Aspen Music School in Colorado with the American Brass Quintet (John Aley). Sam has also studied with Larry Weeks, Armando Ghitalla, Robert Nagel, and David Hickman.
Sam has performed with The Phantom of The Opera in Toronto, The Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, The Hannaford Street Silver Band and currently also holds the Principal Trumpet chair in the Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra.
