We are thrilled to feature pianist Vanessa Yu as our soloist for Absolute Romantics.

Named one of CBC Music’s top 30 emerging musicians under 30, Vanessa is quickly establishing herself as a sensitive and vibrant musician. A seasoned concerto soloist, Vanessa was the Grand Prize winner of the 2021 Pacific Rim International Music Festival, and has received top prizes at the Chicago, Città di San Donà di Piave, Elevato, and Aegio international competitions, as well as the Steinway, CMC national, and OMFA provincial competitions.

Vanessa has performed Beethoven, Chopin, and Rimsky-Korsakov concerti with the Central Texas Philharmonic, Vienna Opera Ball, Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber, York Symphony, Burlington Symphony, North York Concert, and Etobicoke Philharmonic orchestras.
