The MSYO is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2024/2025 season.
The MSYO will run two ensembles this coming season: Sinfonia and the Symphony Orchestra. APPLY HERE.
SINFONIA
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

- Recommended ages 10 to 14 years
- Experience level: intermediate knowledge of the instrument and some previous ensemble experience is recommended
- Outcome: to learn the musical and ensemble skills necessary to progress to the Symphony Orchestra
- Sinfonia will rehearse on their own but perform together with the Symphony Orchestra
SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Winds: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon
Brass: French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba
Percussion: Timpani, Orchestral Percussion, Mallets, Piano
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

- Recommended ages 14 to 21 years
- Experience level: intermediate to advanced knowledge of the instrument, some previous orchestral experience is required
- Outcome: to provide young musicians exposure to symphonic music in a professional and educational environment
